This talk will cover the details of the Cray XMT architecture and how it applies to graph analytic and database problems. Prior to Cray Dave has held a variety of technical positions at several computer and research organizations. Dave holds degrees in Land Surveying, Civil and Mechanical Engineering. His publications include works in parallel computing, numerical consistency, genomic data searching algorithms reconfigurable computing, and was issued a patent for a meshing algorithm for threaded fasteners. As a hobby, Dave plays with solar power, and helps design and install photovoltaic systems in Ypsilanti.
